According to a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana (UG), the management’s decision to move male students from Mensah Sarbah Hall and continuing students from Commonwealth Hall will stand.

In order to safeguard lives and property on campus, Professor Ransford Gyampo claimed the University leadership was steadfast in its resolve to prevent additional altercations between the “rivalling” two halls.

Prof. Gyampo said this to the Ghana News Agency after the Old Vandals Association – old students of the Commonwealth Hall – had demonstrated over the relocation of continuing students of the Hall.

A section of the Old Vandals Association converged on Tuesday, January 03, 2022, at the Commonwealth Hall of UG to register their disagreement with the University’s management over the relocation of continuing students

The Old Vandals Association has converged on campus this morning to give solidarity to current students against what they call the victimization of the students by the school’s Management to expel them from the traditional halls.
