Tesla Raises Full Self-Driving Software Price – Elon Musk Tweets

Tesla Raises Full Self-Driving Software Price to $12,000 in US, CEO Elon Musk Tweets

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on Friday that on January 17, the electric carmaker will hike the price of its advanced driver assistance software, branded “Full Self Driving,” in the United States to $12,000 (approximately Rs. 8.9 lakh).

Tesla increased Full Self-Driving (FSD) pricing by 20% in less than two years, from $8,000 (approximately Rs. 5.93 lakh) in 2020 to $10,000 (about Rs. 7.42 lakh) in 2021.

“On January 17, the price of a Tesla FSD increased to $12,000. Only in the United States.” Elon Musk sent out a tweet.

Musk also added that the monthly subscription price will rise when FSD goes to wide release.

“FSD price will rise as we get closer to FSD production code release,” he tweeted.

Tesla has begun rolling out a test version of its improved FSD software, a set of driving-assistance functions like as automated lane changing and turning, although the features do not make the vehicles autonomous.
