Ghana Statistical Service Head, Suffers Stroke On Live TV

Professor Samuel Kobina Annim, the head of the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), suffered a stroke while on live television.

The incident happened as the Government Statistician was giving a public address about the upcoming Population and Housing Census, which began on June 13, 2021.

Professor Annim fell dumbfounded, shook, and stammered on stage while addressing to the crowd in a video released online. Some individuals at the event came to his aid, and he was later brought to the hospital.

In the year 2019, Professor Samuel Kobina Annim was appointed as the Government Statistician. On March 1, 2019, he began his duties.
